PATIENT INFORMATION & FEES

Newcastle Foot & Ankle Clinician's offer a complete podiatry service for clients with lower limb concerns. As a private practice, we employ qualified and experienced podiatry staff to service the Hunter region in multiple locations.

Our Newcastle foot clinics offer excellent service at a fair and affordable cost and you do not need a referral to see us unless you are a Veteran's Affairs cardholder, seeking treatment for Workers Compensation or under the EPC plan.

Nail Surgery

Our clinician's perform minor surgical procedures (please note - not available at all clinics) for recurrent ingrown toenails. Depending on the number of ingrown toenails, the cost of the procedure can range from $321 to $609. This cost includes all three appointments required for the procedure itself and the dressing reviews.

Private Health

Patients holding the appropriate level of cover for podiatry services may be eligible for private health rebates. Please check with your fund if you are unsure of your level of cover.

Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan

This plan allows patients to claim a Medicare rebate for their podiatry service.

Workers' Compensation

Compensation cases require a current claim number, which includes the insurer's details, a case manager, contact details and signed approval prior to an initial consultation. Failure to present this information will require payment by the patient at the time of service, at the Workers' Compensation rates set by our practice.

NDIS Participant Requirements

We are NOT registered as an NDIS Provider for Podiatry which means if you are NDIS Plan Managed, we cannot see you. If you are an NDIS Participant and have Podiatry included in your current plan and are AGENCY MANAGED or SELF MANAGED then we can see you - but FEES FOR SERVICE ARE PAYABLE AT TIME OF SERVICE; WE DO NOT CLAIM FEES FOR YOU. Please fill in the attached paperwork prior to your first appointment.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE APPOINTMENT?

Please bring any referrals or paperwork that you may have, as well as any relevant imaging or reports and your medical history. Bring some examples of your footwear and any orthotics.
